Pim van der Heiden

Pim van der Heiden (1989) is a Leiden based artist who employs geographical strategies by means of urban explorations. In his actions he encounters the urban landscape in ways that invite to an intentional consciousness; to intentionally experience public space in new ways. In his conceptions of the city, Pim is inspired by the ideas of Guy Debord and his Situationist movement. In addition to their concept of psychogeography, he aims to articulate the construction between the psychological and historical notion in city exploring, resulting in the practice of retrogeography.
